so you should definitely fill out the climbing info in your profile!!! Do you climb? Why do you like it?

 Happy Halloween!?

Hey Steve, just wondering....I know I haven't been on the site alot lately, and I love the changes that you've made. But I was confused when I clicked on 'See All Buddies' and instead of seeing who was on, It went to their recent posts. My espionage George Orwell fantasies can't be fulfilled.

Also, what happened to an inbox full of messages updating comments on my subscriptions? I miss those as well.

Anywoo, not complaining, just wondering what I missed in my absence.

Good Day Sir.

Hey STeve: This is the place to push our voter ideas I guess. I believe we are due for a 'back to school' Queen for the next month in our dear Badash'. This girl just oozes climbing energy, just like Katie did when she was that age. Ashley has posted up great photos, heartfelt and honest blogs that reveal her inner thoughts and desire to climb. She gets up for a 'featured' photo endlessly and of course is our leader in points, never to be caught at the pace she posts up. She's dying to get out to climb every day, and probably has posted a photo in every division we have (except history). Ash as our new member of the month has been chatted across a few of the posts the last week or so.(oK so the same few of us are doing all the chatter, but we believe in her). Hope the suggestion goes to the final judges. We plan a coronation event at the Red, if she can just get a ride and show up soon!

Thanks for the suggestion. Alas, Badash won a few months ago, and we have a rule that you can't win that more than once a year.

Steve;
First of all, I want to apologize for my behavior on the Michael Reardon thread, but when medicfung started attacking people on what I believe was his first post on this site, I tried to help him understand that no harm was meant, but when it didn't stop, I admit that I lost my temper, and for that I am sorry. In the future, I will make sure that I bring any such actions to your attention, and leave it up to those in charge of this site to be the final voice. I know that you guys try to let us police ourselves, but sometimes it would be better to get you involved sooner rather than later. I will pass along these words to those whom I know are long term members of the site, in hopes that something like this doesn't happen again. Once more, I apologize.
Eugene

Here's a thought for you Steve, whenever you guys run a photo contest, how about opening a group under that heading, such as "Best belay/spotter pics" and have it only open for the duration of the contest. That way, everyone could download contest pics to the contest group as well. Might make it easier for you guys to pull up only those pics downloaded for the contest, instead of having to go through every pic downloaded on this site during the contest dates.
Cheers!

Steve: what up with profile' loads as of last 3 days? Tried often to remove/load a new ID photo but it wont take. still the old one or a blank each time I try. This has happened before, only when I try to change my profile ID photo. thanks.

First imagine that I came to the guest book for the same thing, great minds think alike I suppose CW :) Anyhow, Steve- Cliff AKA RockRatz I meet coming back from Iraq the second time in late of 2003, he introduce me to climbing and took myself and my daughters out to the crag, along with several other families just so they could experience the joy of climbing also We were all a little nervous excited, and just not sure what we all got ourselves into. Due to his selfless service that day it was amazing, he taught and explained to us what it takes to enjoy, be safe, and learn climbing, we all successfully climbed a 5.7. I and Cliff have been Battle Buddies for a bit now, and his undying desire to bring new people to the rock is amazing. No matter where he goes I hear him constantly inviting people out to the rock, the amount of free lessons and time that he has given up to people, he could have probably got out of the Army by now if he was paid, but never does he say a negative word. He truly loves to teach and bring the sport of climbing to new people, My life has been renewed through him as he got me back into a community that is flippin awesome and brought me and my daughter closer through a time that was hard for me and her, he was always there for me through my divorce and always encouraged me and challenged me when on the rock. So I can not say enough about this fellow climber who has been instrumental in bringing together climbers in the
Colorado Springs area, so this is my official nomination. Thank you for your site and your time! “Climb On”

Hey Steve,
Not sure if this is the right place to send this, but thought I would give it a try. As you know, my reign is ending next week, and as the King, I would like to throw a name in as a replacement for me.
This guy has brought at least 5 people onto our site,( and funny how it feels like OUR site), has started a group that has about 15 people who have met through this site, climbing together about once a week. Has worked tirelessly to promote climbing in a positive manner everytime I have spoken, or climbed with him. Last weekend while heading back to our cars, a young couple stopped us and asked if we were a climbing group, and what our dues were. They had a very young daughter with them,(about 4 years old I think), and wanted to know if we would be willing to have her climb with us, because she loved it inside, and they wanted to give her the oppurtunity to experience it outside. This climber gave them his number, told them they would have to show up as well so they could learn to belay, and to call him the next time they wanted to go out. It is this unselfish attitude that exemplifies all that is great about our site, and I just think it would be failing in my duties as the outgoing King if I didn't bring this climber to your attention. His name is Cliff,(how fitting), and he goes by the name Rockratz on our site. I'm sure you have already noticed him, and I'm telling you nothing new, but I know that I have come nowhere near impacting the climbing community in such a positive manner as he has, and that is what we all strive to do.
Thanks for hearing me out.
Cheers!

My sit-in has been successful, I recieved my stickers yesterday. Thanks Steve, I'll post some pics of all the crazy places I'm gonna put them.
