I love climbing because it has a "centering" effect on me. Too much stress, energy, coffee, life etc. leads to some of my best climbs because I have to force myself to focus and block out everything else. This absence of anything else is balancing to my life.

Squamish, BC, Canadia-Land...it's like a different country!

Finishing a climb on Taquitz about six minutes before a heavy rainstorm came in...believe the storm reports when you hear them! By the time we got back to our gear at the base of the route the hail storm turned the cool dry surface into a water-slide. Very cold, very wet, very tired and happy to get back home to lay out everything to dry. Basically any time I get exhausted by a climbing trip and pull through, I really enjoy it.

Do these exist? I've never even heard one before...where have I been all this time?
