Climber nearing the top of the Frigid Inseminator, M6 - WI4.  Vail, CO 12/29/07

Rest day from the Ouray Ice park...what better than a quick drive through the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park to pass some time. This photo was snapped and forgotten...until I read through the "jumping photo contest". Hopefully this one can be a winning shot, "I was jumping for my life!"

Shot Before camera died! Trad climbed It! Snowed the entire way up to the approach!!!! Got to first pitch, then snowed heavily, and then a mysterious stillness and calm before the storm happened!! On second pitch it hailed buck shot hail on us!!! Unfortunately we couldn't capture the amazing view from the top on camera, but next time I'll pack extra batteries!! :) Not a hiker or climber in site!! Complete silence!! AWESOME!!!

Amazing photo op

Nat, Dan, and I cruised up the Third last November on a chilly day. It was the first long multi-pitch for both of them.

DD leading the amazing traverse pitch in 30-40mph winds! Nice horizontal crack for hands, seemingly blank for feet until you actually commit, then some tiny edges magically appear :) Then straight up the vertical crack.
