Good shot. That looks like a fun route. Where at in New Mexico?

Old photo? Years ago? Can't be too long ago as I see wire gates and quick draws. Where are the steel ovals, eh?

Spook Canyon is in the general area of Box Canyon on BLM land a few miles southwest of
Socorro, New Mexico.
Box Canyon is a mixed bag of short trad, sport, and top-roping routes, but is
mainly known for its bouldering. Not really a destination crag, but there is
enough there to satisfy the local climbing bums. It's best in winter as it is
a desert environment and gets mighty toasty in summer.
One note is that the Enchanted Tower climbing area is around 75 miles west of
Socorro on Highway 60. If you're into sport climbing, that is a fun place to
spend a few days.
Sorry, about the caption. I just wanted to clarify that this picture was not
taken a few days ago. It's probably about three years old. I'm in Georgia
now, so any recent photos of local cragging I might post will be mainly of
slab granite surrounded by trees. And since I seem to be in charge of the
camera these days, those pictures will probably be of my girlfriend or other
friends climbing.
