Good looking pic AR. Is that rock basalt?

thestidham says:
yeah is columnar basalt. I can't beliveing I've been climbing for a year and a half and I still haven't climbed at vantage. it's like 2 hours from my house. I guess I've built up this negative assumption of it for some reason. so where are you from alpinerack? I'm from Fife and I'm a local at Edgeworks Climbing Gym.
alpinerack says:
I'm out of Seattle and it's a good 3 hour drive for me. I can't believe that you havn't climbed there either. It can be kind of chossy rock though. It's a good dry place to go in the north west early spring.
