I once saw a dog pick up the rope slack in his teeth while both climbers were at the first belay and shake it violently in an attempt to rip it to pieces. I guess his owner didn't give him his preferred chow.

When I was in Utah there were these two groups climbing and spotting each other- The Euros; thin and lean, with a scruffy spotted dog with a milky right eye.
The Americans were huge and more dynamic and talked a lot.
Their dog spent the entire time licking a brick.
It struck me as really funny...
