Yes, it is in Kansas. Its called "Rock City". Just north of Salina is a field with these odd, ball shaped boulders. Absolutely terrible bouldering, but you're in Kansas so its a 5 star location!

I went thru there two summers ago and really enjoyed it. Blazing hot and would have been more fun with others people besides the tourists looking at me thinking I was crazy.

Otherwise a drive through Kansas rivals only Nebraska for falling asleep at the wheel mid afternoon. They all blend in with eastern half of Colorado.
