The Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park - Gap This....

Rest day from the Ouray Ice park...what better than a quick drive through the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park to pass some time. This photo was snapped and forgotten...until I read through the "jumping photo contest". Hopefully this one can be a winning shot, "I was jumping for my life!"

Agree. This is what a jumping climber is all about. Not just leaping off a 6 ft boulder or hopping up and down in the woods. All we need now is an action shot on the 'Jump Traverse' on Devils Tower.

Been there!!!  The Jump Traverse is one of the most notorious moves on the tower!! I'll check with some friends about pics we have been on it a million times you think someone had to have gotten a shot!  What about John's Jump in the Needles that's a great shot too!

The GAP wasn't too big (obviously...from the pic) but the shear size of it.....the drop of to my left was a couple of hundred feet, the right side wasn't quite as far. It did have a steep gully full of sharp rocks! If I had to decide, I'd take the big drop over the gully of pain.

Hey Ang and WC, thanks for the compliments. Ang, lets see the Tower shots...where are they???? If you've been there a million times, the rule of numbers would be on your side that there has got to be a shot of is somewhere.
