I was top-roping a 5.11b (the hardest climb I have ever attempted) on the Tiger Wall at Red Rocks, NV. While struggling at the crux, a large audience appeared behind me. It was hard to focus on the route with all of their shadows! Why is it that people only care to watch when you are struggling??? :)

climbingtrash says:
Isn't that how it goes. So how did you do on the crux?

woodchuck07 says:
No, it's that the climbers there are so obviously visible right from the roadside, and only a 4 minute hike downhill to access. Was it far left, White Tiger? I see the bolt hanger and thought it might be Fraction of the Action instead.

It was on the far left, I think it had 4 bolts. I had done Fraction of the Action right before this one, great route! How did I do on the crux? I fell. BUT...after I completed the climb I went back was able to do it. I blame it on the crowd!!! :) One little girl asked if there was a bell to ring at the top of the climb...
woodchuck07 says:
I thought that far left route was all trad', no bolts. Yup, that's the 5.11
climbingtrash says:
I bring my own bell to clip to the anchors when I reach the top. (it just makes me smile to ring it) 8^)

woodchuck07 says:
got bells here atop the climbing wall routes; the Austrian Ski team kind that make alot of noise.
