awesome......and you know we are suckers here for silouette views. Great shot and here it is as 'featured'. Nice to see a 5.8 route come up every now and then for us 'normal folks.! Like the route name too.

HCR is loaded with moderate sport routes that are just FUN! There are probably more of us 'normal' folks on here than care to admit! (I see a lot of toprope pix here) but Im not embarrassed to say i enjoy moderate climbing!

Yeah you enjoy moderates for sure but are a bit modest here. This was a warm-up for the 9+ next to it then the 9+ trad you followed clean. Then you lead another 9+ followed by on-sighting two 10a's I know in todays world of hard hard sport routes 10's may not be significant but on-sight leading is significant in my book.

Thanks DD' for exposing Igotta' as a poser for a 'normal' climber. I yearn for one day where I could do ONE 5.9 plus and an easy 10, let alone a string of them. Let me guess, that bandana in the photo is blindfolded down over the eyes on this easy warm up 5.8, right??

Man, you say that like its a BAD thing :D I AM a normal climber, i swear!!! I just had a really good day. And seriously, I am proud to claim that most of what i do is in the 5.8 to 5.9 range, and SPORT. The tens have just been happening for me recently, like in the last month (and yeah im proud of that too!) DD makes it sound like i do it all the time! (Thats one of the things i like about him) :) I get the impression, WC, that you are a long time trad climber, I think you are sandbaggin! But, I have all the respect in the world for anyone who takes the sharp end plugging thier own gear no matter what the grade.
