Some mushroom thing

More nasty Vedauwoo crystals ripping at my flesh than I care to remember.

One of the many odd looking 'Voo boulders. I'm sure someone knows of it, and can tell me what it's rated as I didn't really care in my conditon that day. Notice my fashionable but needed leather shirt and the old Chouinard canvas pants with added fur cuffs.

I remember that one. I called it "The Shift Knob"

If that's at the Nautlis Parking lot, it's a V5.
Cheers!

Yup right out of the parking lot. Does look like a shift knob, or some other knobby object I suppose. So I did my first unknown V5 in crappy shoes and Chouinard pants back in '82? Believe I was still in EB's back then.

Nice going, WC! I can sympathize with the shredded fingers, V-woo is tough on the skin.

..and yet I returned there for more blood and punishment each western climbing trip I ever made. What kind of crazy logic is that all about? It is a frightfully neat place to be at night though. Full of strong spirits for sure.

Good thing there arent kids perusing this site, or that would be pretty inappropriate.

I say the rock looks like the end of a huge femur sticking up out of the ground. Maybe a dinosaur bone?
