Farmers Market-Turtle Wall-St. George, Utah. 5.12a (supposedly)

Farmers Market-Turtle Wall-St. George, Utah. 5.12a (supposedly)

Me climbing "Farmers Market" at the Turtle Wall. The book says this route is 5.12a but I'm officially down rating it here because there's no way it's that difficult, in my opinion, because I haven't been doing a lot of sport climbing this year, let alone steep sport climbing, and i sent this route without much effort. I'd say it's more like 5.11a at best.

Photoshopped this pic to tone down some of the light contrast.

Keep downgrading it and I might try it someday. Nice angle on the shot; just wish it wasn't so sunwashed out from behind.

Klimbien knows, he's a southern Utah boy too. It is a great route but 12a...I could lie to you all real easy, but to myself? I gotta be honest with myself. hahaha. Wish I was in 5.12 sport shape right now. But thanks anyway AKC.

Yeah, WC. I wish the light had been better there too. Anyone know how I could adjust it better so as to tone that down? I'll goof around some more with the other shots tonight.

I'm 5'9" and 155. (my wife says I'm too skinny)

I WAS 5.9 and 155; about 3 decades ago. Now I'm shorter and thus, heavier too.

I'm guessing you've already played with contrast? Next time that happens, set your exposure for the bright spot, and use a flash. that will highlite the darker areas of the pic.
Cheers!
