for $429 I bought a full 6ft by 12 ft by 30 inch thick custom made pole vault pad. so you got ripped offf!!!
It's lasted over 17 years of torment and falls. Worth every penny.
Goofy boulderers.

Well "climbingtrash" thanks for the jump. Now "Woodchuck07" I have to admit I have not dropped the cash for this pad yet however I'm not sure if walking about back country with 6x12x30 pad is really all that great. lol. Sheesh silly pole vaulters. :)

well I have no intent in hauling it anywhere. satisfied to fall off 26 ft of wall in the backyard onto it. If on real rock, I prefer to climb with rope in someway, not bail out and risk an ankle on the rocky landings. I haul gear, not a Sealy mattress to the cliffs.

Right right I feel that. I started out as a traditional junkie then turned my attention to boulders when I moved to Ohio from Switzerland. However in my most recent move to DC I've lacked a solid consistent partner in trad climbing crime. So bouldering works just fine for me. good luck with your rope send, I'm bailing out for to go strap a sealy sleep master mattress on my back and go dial in a few project.
