yea, alot of city of rocks climbs like bishop too. but theres definately some crumbly stuff, and i wouldnt do this problem again, that fin i'm on is aout 6 inches thick in places

I just read Steve Outing's post about great photos. He mentioned something about how it's nice to have the cilmber *not* in the center of the pic. This one seems awesome because the climber is centered on the pic, and his limbs seem to be showing us a circle ... like hands on a clock or something.
That's a really beautiful boulder, too. Sad that it's crumbly : (

I did also say that that's not a hard rule. 8^) This and another that I cited in my article work great with the subject centered. This is cool in how the rock frames the climber. Great shot.

Hard not to break the rules when a belayer is trying with one hand to grab and shoot a quick shot of his lead climber. As for this bouldering shot, the arc of the rock is what catches the eye and it leads you to the main subject which just happens to be centered. Nice pic for photo of the week! Climb it until it crumbles, then do a new route over the missing holds!
