Climb hard

Rosie-From Florida

Hi Ladianne. You asked where Broomfield is. It's about 10 miles southeast of Boulder. I can't afford to live in Boulder, but I can afford to drive there :).

And how are you dear? Kinda missed ya lately. Did you see that Jake passed away?

Hahaha, 10/2 was just the last time I logged in. (I usually just stay logged in)
I check this site at least twice a day. (I'm a junky, I know)
I'm having a great autumn. The temps have cooled down and I got out climbing on Sat.& Sun. last weekend and I climbed in Zion yesterday. Went on a sweet desert trail ride with my wife this morning and then planted a couple of mulberry trees this afternoon. *whew*

Hopefully I'm going to Indian Creek next weekend...it all depends on the weather. Good to hear all is well with you.

Look at what was cruising down my drive way last night...

My goodness, that's what I look like every evening...and morning....and...um...YIKES!

Haha...didn't like the spider pic that much huh? Sorry to hear you're not moving out west. Maybe one day.

Just did the Amazon search minutes ago and see The Glass Ark is there: a penny for a used paperback and 5.69 for a hardcover edition! No photo shown, but it does come up as available. Good luck.

How are things with you lately?

E-mailed would be cool too. Can't say that I've heard of Southpark Mag. (I've watched the Southpark cartoon a few times) haha. Well, sounds like your staying busy. Hope you get some time to climb outside soon. :)

what's your e-address and i'll send it.....

been trying for 3 days to load up a new ID photo but it won't take. same one there, or a blank screen I see. Will post some interesting shots from the Red later when I can get the name of the route I was looking at. not familiar with the place enough.

where are you girl? I'm back from my road trip but don't see many new posts from you lately. what up?

Haha, yeah I'm a whole-buncha-things-dude, that's for sure. You're quite the character yurself. Yeah it was a pretty good 4th. Just wish it wasn't so damn hot. (very unmotivating climbing weather) So here's a kinda fuzzy pic my buddy took at the fireworks show...

Yeah I had a pretty good 4th. I drove this tractor in the parade...

Then my wife and I road our bikes up the main canyon of Zion, at high noon! (it was over 100 degrees, doh!) We stopped for a swim in the Virgin river which helped out a ton. Then I went to a wedding/barbecue/town fireworks show. It's been so dry and hot here that within the first few minutes of the fireworks a hillside caught on fire and they had to stop the show and evacuate everyone. Whoa! It was pretty crazy.

Hope your 4th is going your way!

Havn't seen ya in a while! Hope all is well with you and yours

Yeah, I changed the headshot to get rid of that radical hair '60's look, and move into the new millennium.

Wow, that sounds like it was bit of a heady lead. Good Job! I liked the "God help me" expression, reminded me of my Atheist partner that was leading an off-width, and getting spanked, he offered up the same "God help me" to which I replied "did you just say GOD HELP ME?" From that I coined the phrase "There are no Atheists in foxholes or off-widths" but now I think I need to add run-out slabs in there. haha I'll let you know when you can get the phrase on a sticker or shirt. haha.
Yeah, so last Sunday I did a four pitch route in Zion call "Pow the rat". It's a newer free climb that isn't in any guide book yet. Some of the local boys have been pretty busy that past couple of years putting up some really fun routes. Pow the rat is going to be a Zion classic, I think. First pitch was a fist to OW size crack in a chimney. That pitch had me wishing I'd worn pants and a long sleeve.(my scabs still haven't healed up.) The second pitch was the crux with a splitter 11- finger crack right off the belay and then a pod with a rattly finger splitter coming out of it, over a bulge. The third pitch I lead. A 100ft long corner with various sizes, probably 10-. I even placed a nut on that pitch, and a #6 friend. haha. The fourth pitch was real fun. It was a double finger to hand crack in a stem box, devils tower style. My calves were on fire when I reached the belay, and I was seconding. haha. All in all it was a great climb. All but one belay was bolts (because you rap the route to get off) and good size ledges to belay from which is always nice, but rare in Zion.
Gonna get up to Zion this afternoon and find something in the shade to climb. I'll let you know how that goes. Hope you're having a happy Saturday.

Here, copy and paste this code into the comment box where you want it to show up. <img src="http://www.yourclimbing.com/files/yourclimbing/images/LadianneRack.preview.jpg"</img>

Once a picture is on the web you can pretty much make it show up in any comment box that allows html code. All you need is the URL or address to the picture (not the page that it's on, but the picture its self.) To get that URL just right click on the picture you want and a box will come up. Select properties from that box and another box will come up that will show the picture size and it's URL or address. (i.e. http://www.yourclimbing.com/files/yourclimbing/images/LadianneRack.previ...)

Then all you have to do is place the html image tags like I did for you above.(just be sure to have a space between <img and src= It won't work if you don't.)
Hope this makes sense. Let me know if you have a problem...Good luck. Have a good day and I'll check back in this evening.

Ladianne, let me know when you get your rack picture uploaded to your gallery here and then I'll show you how to place it in a comment box. Are you using a PC or a Mac?

Hey Ladianne!!!!!! How are things with you lately?
