Its it wrong for me to discourage my friends from Trad climbing? First off, it cost a lot of $$ to start + you really can get seriously injured...especially when you're starting. Its like playing Russian Roulette...especially with a lot of the routes in West Virginia/North Carolina.

http://www.yourclimbing.com/forum-friends_wanting_to_start_trad_climbing#comments Aid Climbing traditional Traditional Climbing Tue, 24 Apr 2007 08:12:45 -0600 dbrayack 3246 at http://www.yourclimbing.com Monkey Call http://www.yourclimbing.com/forum-monkey_call
So I've noticed a decline in the use and acceptance of the Monkey Call in Yosemite and elsewhere. You used to hear the wall rats give a nice Monkey-esque hoot from the ground or to others on nearby routes... no longer. I yelled out to a couple parties on El Cap, no response. I was on the Leanin Tower and yelled over to a party on Roulette.. nothing. It makes me sad
http://www.yourclimbing.com/forum-monkey_call#comments Aid Climbing Tue, 10 Oct 2006 10:58:27 -0600 donnyllama 370 at http://www.yourclimbing.com
