Whether it be an awkward 5.9 or a crazy 5.13, most of us have a project or two. What are yours? bouldering or sport, trad or big wall - it doesn't matter... we all have SOMETHING we want to do! And if you dont, get one! Go look for a cool-looking climb and project it! Anyways, we can talk about our current projects HERE:

I guess i'll start. I am currently projecting an awesome overhung 12b at the Y12 area in Obed. It is in a cave - and all the holds are pretty good. I am currently training my endurance so that I can have enough energy to link the moves. I've completed the climb, but now i simply have to put it together. I hope to send it before the summer ends...
As for bouldering, I'm totally not psyched on it right now. I'm sure i will be crazy about it when fall comes around. So as of now, I am not projecting any boulder problems.... although i DO hope to send a v8 in 2008... but thats another story...

My current 'project is to finish adding new holds to my wall, and rebuild the huge slipNslide down the back yard hill. awesome, isn't it?
badash says:
thats bad-ass... =)
this is funny: last year i was talking to some members of my climbing team about projects. Then my friend Jennifer came into the conversation without a clue what we were really talking about, and she said, "Yeah i have a social studies project!"... (she is a blonde too...) It was hilarious. We then explained what projects are and she realized how stupid the comment she said was.... it was funny - you had to be there.
woodchuck07 says:
oh booo hooo for the poor uninformed blonde. and I trust you all did't attempt to'convert' her over to climbing; as it would mean chipped nails, smeared make up, sweating profusely,(icky!) and pushing the limits of her brain on a 5.3.

My current project: I am teaching Pludos and my wife to lead. My goal is by next summer i want to go to MOAB and send castleton tower. My number 2 project is im currently working on my retirement plan me and Pludos are going to open a climbing gym in the springs hopfully by december. Called "RockRatz"...
Pludos says:
Man, he's worse than my ex-wife goanna do this, goanna lead this, goanna open this-Man I can't win:), actually sooner we open a gym the sooner I can retire from the military, speaking of that getting ready to have my 20 year bash in August at RockRatz house, so if any of you are around the Springs during this time, come on down and have some grub and cold ones!
Rockratz says:
MMMMMMMMMM cold ones!!!!!!!!
Bex says:
I like cold ones and grub (I eat a lot). Don't think I'll be around the Springs then though. Projects don't really have any.

Finally a reason to head out to Colorado Springs once again...partaaayyy!!
ped says:
It seems my biggest project is aligning my schedule with that of my climbing buddies. We seem to have mutually exclusive availability to climb. Very frustrating. Routes-wise, I'd like to whip my ass into shape for Kor's Door and maybe the Casual Route, although the latter will probably wait till next summer. Both are on Long's Peak. I also want to throw myself at Tagger in Eldo and see what happens.
woodchuck07 says:
agree, the biggest project is getting your regular partner freed up to climb, OR just goin' searching for the right 'replacement' in case you get desperate. When you gotta climb, you gotta climb.
Human Crashpad says:
Right, and I gotta climb outside. My 'project' would be getting a job, making money, and high-tailing it out of the house to Bishop or JTree. Good luck to the rest of you on your projs.
-I've recently been informed of the three C's to outside climbing: climate, climbmate, climb it. (Check the weather, get a partner, and send!)
