I'm looking for climbers who knew the late Ryan Sayers, an influential Colorado Springs champ who also did a lot of climbing in 2002-2003 in the Golden/Boulder area while he was in school at Mines. He was killed by lightning in 2003, while climbing Steeple Peak in the Wind River Range. His family is planning on hiking out there over August 22-26, and I wanted to get out and get on Steeple Peak. My personal circle of partners is not able to make the trip, and I was hoping to hook up with someone who knew Ryan and would feel the importance of this climb. We'd be climbing the North Ridge (5.8), using the beta provided by Katrin, Ryan's girlfriend who was with him on the climb. Please feel free to contact me if you're interested - the original plan was to be up in Wyoming by Thursday night (8/23) and be back in Colorado by Sunday night (8/26).
