Hey everybody! I'm really excited about meeting and talking to everyone. My name is Mike O'Rourke but everybody calls me Mikey.and I live in Ithaca, NY. Ah, Where all the crags are shale:( No worries though, only a hop skip and a 3 hour car ride to the gunks!! I've been climbing since 1999 when I first was introduced to it at Cornell Outdoor Education at age 36. I was hooked... I actually was teaching at COE from 2000 to 2006 until I had a pretty serious shoulder injury which is now finally healed,Yippee.. So I find myself craving the pain and the freedom of new heights!!! Only to take baby steps getting myself to climbing shape.. I will need all of your support to pry me off the couch and onto the granite... Hello Again!! Please feel free to introduce youself so I get a chance to get to know everybody. Really looking forward to it

Welcome to the site Mikey! It's always good to have new people on here. This is a pretty friendly site so don't be shy. I'm in Southern Utah and do most of my climbing on sandstone in Zion and Canyonlands. Good luck getting back into it and I'll see you around. :)
