Getting Back In Touch With A Good Community

Posted by Nathan_McBride on 11/15/2007

Well... I've been so busy and so bad at making it a point to sit down and get on this site to see how everyone is. The summer was a little crazy and I ended up living with some very difficult people. I wasn't home much, and other issues with family kept me feeling like I couldn't stay organized. Classes have started back up for me which has not added to a better management of time. Dropping out of this site did not get any good responses. It seemed as if I waited for a reward for my photography and then booked it, but it really wasn't the case. I want to get on here again and back to a community that is funny, has great stories, and good topics of discussion. I guess I posted this up to invite the comments I might get, and to ask permission to join your community again. I wish instead of sitting at a computer to chat with all of you, I could just head over to a pub and converse in person.
Anyways...how is everyone? I'll be surfing through here to catch myself up with things.

~Nathan

we look forward to more great stories and of course, more comedy and light hearted efforts. Welcome back. We need the members and activity to make this site live on with the next 'owners' if possible.

No problem Nate. We've all been pretty busy this summer I think. Good to hear all is going well with you. See you around. :)

I do hope it's only a post-busy summer, a kick back and relax fall that has our site activity down. Let's hope everybody gets active in Nov.! I can't keep buying stuff from mountaingear and backcountry.com all alone now!

I don't know about everyone else but it has been a very very busy summer/early fall here too.... haven't had time to be indoors hardly at all and when I have been it's been to relax/recover and usually end up crashing early... btw spent a couple days in the Red last weekend though.. took a group of kids out to roadside and over to left flank to teach em a little bit of rope handling.... packed it up to Auxier to camp overnight, right on the ridgetop... these kids loved it and had a great time.. made me remember why I loved it there so much... hope to return again soon...

Hope everyone is ready for the holidays, stretch the bellies for Thanksgiving. I havn't been out climbing as much as I would like to. Although I climbed a 4 pitch route in Colorado National Monument called Otto's Route. It's about a 400ft. sandstone tower. Laid back climbing and BEAUTIFUL scenery.

I'm picking the toughest time of year to lose weight and get in better shape. Holiday meals/feasts loom overhead with guilt.
