Northern Utah has a ton of stuff.
My suggestions would be,
1. American fork canyon. (Sport climbing on limestone.)
2. Rock canyon.
3. Santaquin canyon.
4. Maple Canyon. (Sport climbing on conglomerate cobblestone.)
Not sure about the bouldering in Utah this time of year. Hope this helps.
agree. nothing beats the temps and bug free world of the front range in Colorado all summer long. June is great, since you still might get caught in a snowstorm at 11,000ft. Love it.
It's true. Colorado is great. You've got Rocky Mountain National Park, or Rifle if you want some sport climbing. Lots of good stuff throughout the state. There's also the Needles in California, which I've never been to but have heard is absolutely amazing in the summer.
Yes Come to colorado great people and great climbing. If you head this way let me know and we can get together with some other people from the Colorado Springs RockRats Group. We are having a Gathering in July the 21 and 22 up in 11 mile canyon. But there is so many places to climb and it bug free, also the weather is mostly perfect for a nice day at the crags. As i told woodchuck i would be greatly offended if you guys passed through our lovely state and let me know so we can hit the rock. We have some really exprienced people in our group as well if your up for some major mulit pitch stuff.
so yeah....Colorado seems like the place huh? Looks like I'm gonna be taking a guide job in Maine until Mid August...then hopefully out to Colorado for 2 weeks or so. Can't wait for Maine!

Maine will be nice IF you can get high enough to escape the black flies. But you can't beat Colorado.

I have been all over the US and I would have to say Colorado has it all. I myself prefer the platte. Of course I am biased since I live in the platte.

buggy humid Devils Lake Wisconsin would let you feel right at home, and much less a drive from New England!
