Backcountry Trail Cookbook

Even the living dead need some midnight snacks.

Well climbers, here it is. YOUR place to share recipes, survival skills, favorite trail snacks and all that good stuff. We're talking real foods, junk food, meats, sugar and snacks. Don't get into some health food kick here, or special weight loss comp. diet you tried. Go post that elsewhere! This is all about those who like to eat and EAT!!

So far we've heard about roasted snake for dinner and such. Everybody has had a rabbit or two by now I presume. Open fire or campstove hints, sauces, home made jerky and all the staples of a good outdoors person. That way we don't have to pick the bones of the living dead for nutrition as the photo suggests. So what have ya' got for us??

OK, WC, I shoulda chimed in your request for a "food channel" sooner. ... We already had a Nutrition forum, so I renamed that "Nutrition & food." Does that work as a place to also share recipes and stuff? (I'm wary of adding too many forums, because we've already got a lot and we don't want them to become overwhelming.) What do ya think?

yeah, that's why I just put it here under 'general info'..Was steering away from the nutritious stuff, thinking we might blab about how we pig out now and then.
It was just a silly idea at first, but more and more 'food chat kept coming up, so what the heck today I posted up.
Reinsert where needed. No problem here. It's all in fun anyway.
