Does anyone on here own Acopa shoes? What do you think about them. I was looking into buying them and everyone who has their pictures on acopausa.com thinks they are great. I figured as much. Especially if you own the Spectre, cause thats what I was looking into the most. Both Bachar and Reardon solo climb, and they wear the shoes, so I guess they are good if they trust them. I just wanted to hear what others thought of them.

I have a pair of the Aztecs and have been happy with them. I got them with the intention of using them as an all-around trad shoe, and they've succeeded in being versatile. I wouldn't say they're any better than the 5.10 Hueco for that purpose, but they're about as good and a lot less money. For that reason I think I'll be keeping them as my all-around choice for a long time. Summary: good shoe, outstanding value. I'm very interested in trying out the Spectre, but at its price tag I'm wondering why bother when I already like my Anasazi velcros so much.

I agree with the whole not buying a shoe when you have a good one. Right now I climb with sportiva's venom. I like them a lot. Your toe moves right to the tip when you step onto a hold. The only problem that I found is when I go mor west and stay off the boulders, they are very painful crack shoes. I won a certificate for any pair of 5.10's I want, but the shoes I do like, I cant fit in with the size I want, and all the others Im not crazy about their heel. So Im going to sell the certificate to a friend. I also have a thing for any free pair of montrail climbing shoes or hiking boots. Dont really need them either right now, so I might be selling that too. That will definetly give me enough money to purchase the shoes without seeing any loss of income.

I'm having the same problem. I got a certificate also, but already have another pair of shoes lined up after i blow though my current pair. So i'm stuck with a certificate that i dont really need. That and i love mad rock shoes (i always get crap for saying that). Selling sounds like a really good idea now that you mention it.

I got the Montrail one at the HERA Climb for Life benefit for ovarian cancer research in salt lake city for raising over $500.. got a whole gift bag and that was one of the things in it along with two patagonia shirts. The other I got at a bouldering Comp...buuuuut not for being a spectacular climber... I got it cause they said they would give the shoes to anyone who had the best stupid human trick. And I won by playing the theme to zelda on my throat. Ill post a video of it later maybe so you can understand. But they give them out at comps, benefits, some film festivals, etc.
