Training Update

Posted by CrazyGil on 2/27/2007

Well, as anyone who knows me can tell you, I spend a lot of time climbing and training. Beginning Nov '06, I started power training. In Dec '06, I worked on power-endurance (Blog entry 12/22/2006). In Jan '06, I went back to power training. Now, in Feb '06, I recently joined the newly started Adult Team at the Sport Rock - Alexandria gym. Headed by National Climbing Coach Claudiu Vidulescu (http://www.evolutionclimbing.org), I'm now working harder than ever. I will post my workout schedule within the next couple of days.

Climb hard and take care.

Red Rocks - 2006 part deux

Posted by CrazyGil on 12/19/2006

Just flew in from Las Vegas, and boy are my arms tired (literally).

Flew out to Vegas Thurs evening (Dec 7) with a great group of friends. After touchdown, we piled into two mini-vans and headed straight to In and Out burger. Having our fill, we headed to the hotel (Binions) and crashed for the night.

Friday morning we head to Black Corridor and nearly sent everything below 5.11. Conditions were perfect, even in the shade. We were practically the only ones there. That evening we 'closed down' Myriads and rolled back to the hotel.

Saturday, the traddies split from the sporties. The sporties met up with our Vegas resident guide and headed to a new spot, Valley of Fire. Weather was perfect, and of course, we were the only ones there. The traddies were running late, as usual :-p , so the sporties headed out for great Thai food.
