Hey everyone I've noticed a few of us have posted out non human climbing companions (dogs and cats) Why isn't there a photo gallery for climbing pets. Like we've seen pics of Jake, Charlie and Mugs. I know a lot of us take our pets with us...I think we should have a section dedicated to our biggest fans.

Posted by Bex on 3/16/2007 The Dough First of all, make the dough. If you want to make momo dough for four people, use about 3 cups of flour and 3/4 cups of water. (You don't have to be very exact about these measurements--Tibetans never are!) Mix the flour and water very well by hand and keep adding water until you make a pretty smooth ball of dough. Then knead the dough very well until the dough is flexible. Now leave your dough in the pot with the lid on while you prepare the rest of the ingredients. You should not let the dough dry out, or it will be hard to work with. The Filling Filling We make momo's with either meat or vegetables. In Tibet, they often use yak meat, but here in the US, we usually use beef, or just vegetables for our vegetarian friends. |
Tired of Being the Village Freak |
|
Posted by Bex on 3/16/2007 Okay It's official I am the Village freak. I'm from a metropolis of 1,700 people, I'm the only outdoor fanatic (addict), the only climber, the only whitewater paddler. I have begun my quest to recruit to my lifestyle. Today I sent out a mass e-mail to everyone in my building at work...to go do some climbing. Because it is freaking cold I am planning a trip to the climbing gym. It's about an hour away, and my truck hold 5 + me. So I wanna load'er up and go. This may develop an acceptance to bandanas and hemp jewelry in my work place. I miss University there were more like minded people....Okay we were all dirty hippies but F it. |
