ROCK TALK: Into Africa

Let's all hope Katie isn't finding her way to South Africa the same way she tried to navigate around Mount Evans.

A few days before embarking on a South African adventure with Lisa Hathaway, Katie ventured to Mount Evans (Colorado) for a day that can only be described as, in her words, a "junk show." (After reading this story, it'll be clear what Katie wants, no, needs for Christmas this year. Three little letters: G...P...S!)

With a day of more wandering than climbing under her belt, Katie began the arduous task of answering the question everyone who's ever gone to South Africa asks: "what to wear?!" With that question answered, she blogged her way through some laptop separation anxiety, and a final adieu before heading off to the South African wonderland.

NOOBS: Who's new?

(Psst! Post your profile pictures! We can't include you in Noobs if you don't have one.)

BLOGS OF ROCK: One nation, under blog

It's the YourClimbing.com user blogs - cheaper than gas, and less flammable, too.

"When Marmots Attack" - This week on YourClimbing.com... Laugh all you want, but just know that YourClimbing member ped came *this close* to falling victim to a crazed, wild eyed lunatic kamikaze marmot. According to Pludos, the Colorado Springs RockRats will be sporting new duds at their next meet-up, while overworked gonzobeer expressed his rock-less sorrow through the art of song. As abbyduh celebrated her 4th of July partying, climbing and splurging on gear, badash and Human Crashpad traveled to Michigan for nationals.

That's just a dollop of the blogging going down on YourClimbing - get the full massive blob!
