Well, we headed out to Lake Louise today, but get this... It was snowing!! OK. That's a slight exaggeration. There were a few snowflakes, but mostly rain. Some Canadian dude told me that you NEVER, EVER cross the border without a puffy jacket. Of course, I was in Salt Lake City, where it was beyond hot, and I wasn't exactly planning on heading to the great white north.
So we headed back to the gym and had a fun session.

I met some Canadians today at the Red, they had a cool dog. Cool people too. Funny though, it seemed to drop 10 degrees anywhere they went. Seriously, it got hot as soon as they left.

I remember just heading to Devils Tower once on Oct 1st and was prepared for summer temps. It snowed 4 inches that night on my mesh tent. sucks to be unprepared when all the good gear is at home.

Gonzo, there are always Canadians in the Red so I guess the trick to beat the summer heat & humidity is just to follow them around :)
I was up in the Wind River Range one September to awaken in my sleeping bag with something cold on my nose. When I opened my eyes I realized it was the tent. It had snowed a foot overnight.

AMen to your snowy tent roof problem. I woke up at Kelly Dahl campground above Boulder canyon one year with a snow collapsed tent in late June. That sure ruined my day of climbing.
