Red Rock Open Space Comp and info for the RockRatz

Please note a couple of items of interest:
 
1. In case you missed it in the local paper, there is a series of lectures on the background of Red Rock Canyon Open Space on certain Thursday nights this summer that you may find of interest.  The first one was quite informative and subjects yet to be covered include the geology and paleontology of the area.  The details from the Friends of Red Rock Canyon website are at:

2. Keep Aug 25 open for a climbing comp at RRC similar to the successful one last year.  Details will follow shortly.
 
3. We will probably have a climber's work day at RRC and/or GOG this Fall to further work on access trails, to re-paint hangers, etc.  We'll get a note out ASAP setting a date for your calendar
