Passion.

What does this word mean?

craving. enthusiasm. infatuation. attatchment. devotion. desire. drive. OBSESSION.

Sometimes when I really think about my passion my whole being feels like its lifting to the sky. I seriously get the chills and a tingling sensation runs through my fingers and down my back. I can really tell that I am... in love with the lifestyle, i guess!

Who knew that a passion is basically what I live for!? Who knew that just THINKING about it can give me these crazy feelings!?

I have a deep, deep passion to climb. There is something about cramming my fingers into little cracks and slapping rocks with no holds that is very pleasing to me. There is some sort of achievement factor that is addicting in this wonderful word of climbing.

For some reason I feel accomplished when my fingers are dripping blood and I am too sore to lift my arms. I like it.

Sometimes I get in these moods where I want to scream from the highest mountain..... i want to scream, "I LOVE CLIMBING!!!!"

My adrenaline is pumping and all I am doing is sitting here on the computer, thinking about my passion.

My hands are sweating. My mind is racing. I love climbing!

...what a crazy thought!

When i first read this about an hour ago, I was thinking "maybe Badash is a little too OCD and crazy about climbing and then I went to the ABS site to look for local comps. Then I saw it, Vertical Adventures climbing gym is having a comp on the 10th next month!!! Then I was shaking with excitment! I went into my shower planning my weeks out to train for the competition. I was even thinking of sending 1 new problem everyday I climb and the majority of the problems at VA are pretty hard. Then after my shower I called Mark(the guy who got me starting to climb) and I called him standing outside in absolutely nothing but boxers and shorts and its freezing outside! But I didnt care, I was uber siked! And now I am rambling on and I realize, I am pretty OCD over climbing! Maybe not as much as Badash but hey, whats wrong with being OCD over something you have Passion for? Absolutely nothing.
