Well, I'm headed back to Fayetteville tomorrow for the New River Rendezvous! I was just out in Wild and Wonderful West Virginia this past weekend, came back to DC for 3 days, and now I'm headed back west :)
The climbing last weekend was kind of weak, though that was definitely the fault of the climber (me) and not of the gorge-ous rock. [get it... New River GORGE-ous? :-P] So hopefully this weekend will fair better for me, though I suspect I won't get in as much climbing due to all the festivities. But that's one of the good things about living at the New for the summer - I can climb whenever the fancy strikes me. So I'll leave this weekend to duct taping myself in a crash pad and battling it out sumo style [and hopefully lasting longer than I did last year], falling off of a slackline and getting trash talked by kids half my age, pigging out on delicious home made desserts, cheering on my friends in the dyno comp, and volunteering my little butt off. It's going to be a blast! :-D
And I'll post back to you guys in a few days with tons of pictures and videos and stories of all the debauchery so that those of you who can't make it can live vicariously through us attendees!
I posted up some pictures from last year as a preview of what's to come.
