Hey, I'm fairly new to the climbing scene, started just before X-mas '06, but am totaly addicted. I've met some great people climbing and would like to meet more and learn more. I've spent most of my climbing time at an outdoor climbing wall, and looking foward to getting on some real rock soon. I want to learn how to lead. I'm told that I am climbing at about a 5.10/5.10a level, I can boulder V3. I'm looking for any advice you may be able to give me, gear, books, places to climb (Charlotte, NC area). Also looking for people to climb with. I know several people that I climb with, but getting new perspectives, and meeting new people is allways good. Thanks for reading.

Welcome to the site and to climbing DT! For now my advice would be to try and get in with some experienced climbers that would take you out on some real rock. Try reading some of John Long's books, your local shop should have them or check out the library.

Happy climbing!
