Human Crashpad is FAMOUS

In case you guys missed it; our own former Queen is in an edition to this month's "Climbing" Magazine. The extra supplement entitled," Strength Builds Confidence" is a USA Climbing mag that talks with some of the top Competition climbers in America, and on page 22, there's Crash in all her glory. I must say, this is the 1st time I've ever seen her face. She does so well at hiding it in her posts, that I never thought I would be able to recognize her at the local bouldering spot if I was climbing right beside her. She is as funny and irreverent as she her posts here would lead you to believe. I felt a small flash of pride in seeing her write-up, as if I knew her personally, when I've only met her through this site. I guess that goes to show what a close-knit family we are here at yourclimbing.com. I have to say that this site has made friends for me, as well as climbing partners I never would have met. It has changed my life, and I can only hope it grows with my family through the years. So Thanks Tiffany for making me realize this with your article. I'm sure I speak for many, if not all of us when I say, "We're proud of you!" In the original words of the Rockratz group, "Climb On".

Cheers!

Last issue I got was the Sept. 'epic' issue. Trust that the USA Climbing comp.insert is in the next months? Mine are usually late here in the non-climbing midwest I must sadly report. But hey, great to hear that our Tiff'Crash is in there! I recall seeing a couple photos of her smiling face posted up here on site. Looking forward to reading more about 'our' HCrash soon.

Featured blog? Now I really gotta find this issue. What month is it in??

This month. I just got it on the 21st, and the article was in a supplement that came with the mag.
Cheers!

Still what is THIS MONTH!! You mean Sept? I got that weeks ago and it had no supplement. Rock and Ice maybe, not Climbing?? Oct issue instead?

The Oct. issue, #261, it has Lauren Lee on the cover.
Cheers!

She has always been famous, guys! haha its not the first time she has been in a mag! But I was pretty stoked for her. I read it twice..... YOURE AWESOME, CRASH!

p.s. CRASH if you ever come back to this site i totally know what you are saying when you were talking about if we were stripped of EVERYTHING we would still have climbing. (well... bouldering) Climbing can be simplified to its purest form and not need anything except a person to climb.

Thanks fcr FINALLY saying which month, CW! Ash is right though, she already had the fame, it's just that we never knew of her in the mags before we 'met' her on this site. I will bitch and moan to my local office and delivery person for my overdue mag (and hope not to get shot or whatever when they 'go postal' on me for the inquiry)

Except me.... I knew who she was on here from the start... even from her secret ways, haha.

woodchuck07 says:

welll, only cuz you went to the comps, or followed the comp names, etc. That doesn't count.
Unfair advantage!@!

still no Climbing copy in my mail.... so I went to the bookstore and found a newsstand copy but they don't include the insert we get with our subscriptions. Soooo, still gotta wait until whenever to read all about our dear Crash's updates.

badash says:

haha whatever i totally beat you all. and bummerrrrrr you need to do something about that!!!!!!!

My mail sucks here for delivery of mags, periodicals, weekly newspapers like Air Force Times. Sometimes I get a Saturday dump off, a whole pile of mags and late stuff all at one time after 2 or 3 days of nothing. Sooo,I'm probably not gonna see it today or Friday either. What a lousy system.

OK, it's here today, finally. The things I never knew about our Crash! Quite a wild interview, girl. On pg. 22 of the USA insert with Oct. Climbing issue. The photo is courtesy of KidsofClimbing. Hey Crash, have you ever been in their calendar? I have the 2007, and maybe 06 somewhere too. Can't find you in the 07 amongst the many hottie shots of Sasha and Dana they used. R U 'too old' for the 'kids' calendar now, since it focuses on the 10-14yr olds it seems?
Either way, the article is quite nice so hope our internet members here can get a copy to see soon.
