Fraguel

Posted by katie on 9/24/2007 on katie's blog

Has anyone had a chance to check out the video that I posted? It's not edited or anything, just a little clip pulled off my camera.

So, the past couple of days have been overcast and rainy. We spent one day at a crag called Fraguel -- doing a little sport climbing. All I can say is that the climbing is freaking amazing, hands down. Lots of tufa pulling, which I love. And here's why: Even though I suck at pinches, the thing with tufas is that there are always intermediates. There's always SOMETHING. You know how with the more pocketed limestone there's often big blank sections with nothing, absolutely nothing in between? Well, with the tufas, there is always some kind of feature to bump or pull off of.

Yesterday it pissed rain all day. The boys went boogie boarding anyway, but I stayed dry and read my book because I seem to have developed a bit of a cold. How I managed this in a tropical climate is beyond me, but there it is.

Today we're heading out to the arch -- the arch as in Chris Sharma King Lines arch. It's sunny and perfect outside and I can't wait to see it.
