badash update

I haven't been getting on here alot recently due to a fun-filled summer curriculum.

Yesterday I got back from Bonnaroo, which is a 4 day music festival located in Manchester, Tennessee. Its a crazy time for sure - hippies, tyedye, good vibes... oh, and music! JAM BANDS! you know it. ANYWAYS...

Then we stopped by Foster Falls on the way back and Josh forgot his climbing shoes. So after some time spent in the falls, we headed out and he tried a 5.12 face climb barefoot, which didnt work out. BUt then we got on Gas Chamber, which is a 5.12c i think... and he got one bolt away from the top! IN BARE FEET! (its in a cave!) so thats pretty cool!

So on Friday I leave for a 2 day music fest in Southern Illinois. It's inside of a cave! And the best part is that it supposedly has some bomber climbing around the area!!!! so when music isnt playing, we are going DEEP WATER SOLOING!!!! (it'll be my first time!)

And if we get sick of it, or if the quality isnt good, there is some beach boulders too, in a different area!!!! AAAAND if we dont feel like doing that, we might go to the RED for a couple days!!!!! I'm ridiculously psyched! EVERYONE should come to the music fest, it'll be insane! I heard that there is a crack going up near the cave that nobody has ever sent yet. (HEY ALL YOU TRADDIES!) But you better watch out, my friend Josh is gonna rip it up, and i'll give him my first ever trad belay! sketchy? maybe.

AND THENNNNNNNN there is a possibiliy i will go to NY to a crazy invite only bouldering comp with a bunch of really good famous climbers... i might help film if i get to go. AND while im there i'll train for nationals! BUT if that doesnt happen, I might go to ANOTHER music fest where STS9 is playing for 3 days! (one of the best jam bands out there!)

but whatever i do it'll be fun! Then nationals will come and it'll all be good.
