Angels Landing topo-poster, Zion National Park.

I thought a few of you tradies out there might be interested in this. A couple climbing buddies of mine have made up topo-posters of Angels Landing in Zion National park. The picture of Angels was taken by Eric Draper and the topo was put together by Bryan Bird. Click on the image to visit their site if you're interested in buying one.

Looks pretty awesome.... reminds me of ancient history climbing for me way back then.

Have you done any of the routes up Angels WC?

I recall when somebody did a route there, TV coverage and all, sometime in 70's I believe. So on my next adventure drive out West, I had to at least find it and boulder around in amazement at foot of the wall. Love the feel of the stone. But I'm not into unroped hero routes and as an unpartnered climber with no connections out there, I came up empty once again.

I haven't done any of the routes on it yet. I would like to at least do "Prodigal Sun". It's 9 pitches of C2 aid and is one of the trade routes in the park. One of these days...

O.K. So the holidays are here people...I just want to remind you all that this poster would make a great gift for that hard-to-shop-for dirt-bag on yur list. I've got three of these I'm going to have "dry mounted" today for some buddies and I'll let you know how they turned out.

Thanks for the reminder CT.  I just hit the button and mine is on the way. But HEY!  Where is the 'YC- member Woodchuck' discount that I hoped would pop up!!?   I trust these are coming rolled in a tube to preserve the ice look. Gonna poster frame mine for sure, right next to the Longs Diamond and ElCaP route posters up on the walls already.

Will watch for it in the days ahead and report back(customer review, feedback, etc.) here.

Yeah they'll be shipped in a tube...you know those posters aren't something I made up, right? Two buddies of mine made 'em and I'm just helping them get the word out. I took three of the posters to the frame shop today to have them dry mounted. Pretty reasonable price for that kind of mounting too. I'm going to give them to some friends for Christmas.

Oh, one thing about the tubes he's shipping them in, before you open it make sure to tap the tube so the poster is down away from the end you're going to open or the lid could mess up the poster. (my buddy told me this but I forgot and kinda crinkled one corner of all three posters, *Dho*)

yeah, Eric's site and Paypal came up fast and easy. I had a nice piece of artwork come in a tube with a crumpled, collapsed end. That was one costly replacement for the art dealer or UPS, whoever got stuck with the costs.
